We are a historical reenactment group seeking to learn and preserve the past. It has a focus upon the German navy during the period from 1939-1945, emphasizing the World War II era of conflict. This group is absolutely NOT for political indoctrination, or to espouse or champion the ideals of National Socialism. It is a purely educational, recreational, and non-enterprise (non-profit) organization to study this area of history. It is, however, for those that have a love of the sea, a love of history, and a desire for knowledge, a group that will attempt to further educate and enlighten those that choose to associate.
Portraying Germans in world war two is a sensitive issue. Every member of this unit is expected to show the uttermost respect to those who suffered under the Nazis and indeed the dead of both sides, (on and off the battlefield), will be shown respect and dignity by members of this unit.
On the following pages you will see the Nazi Swastika displayed. This does not signal our approval of Nazi ideals or any attempt to glorify the Nazis, merely our wish to be historically correct. The giving of the Nazi salute is also forbidden*.
We do not agree with, support, endorse, or tolerate those who have political views in support of the Nazi ideals and absolutely no tolerance will be shown to any individual or individuals that violate the above statement.
*Only after July 1944 did regulations specify the Nazi salute must be given. However many continued to give the traditional salute and this unit will honour that tradition.
